The Gaelic football and the sliotar represent a passion I once had, one that now I merely observe and admire greatly. I can however speak to my love of this game and the value its given my life. Through it met my best friends, I stuck to something I was not very good at or ‘naturally talented’ at, learning resilience as an unconscious by-product. It provided a sense of purpose and identity. It has, numerous times, upset me to a point of which still to this day has no comparison, while also providing me with some the most exhilarating and joyous times in my life.

I’m grateful for this game and everything it has given to me.
